ANA Webinars: Strategy, Luck, & Localization: Game Based Learning in Neurology
Game-based learning is reshaping how complex concepts are taught—and neurology is no exception. Join the American Neurological Association (ANA) on Friday, March 6, from 3:00–4:00 PM EST for Strategy, Luck, and Localization: Game-Based Learning in Neurology, an interactive session that brings this innovative approach to life.
Through live gameplay and real-world examples, participants will explore how strategy, chance, and thoughtful design can transform complex neurologic topics into engaging and memorable learning experiences. The program will clarify the differences between game-based learning and gamification while demonstrating how these methods work in practice.
Leading the session are Alison Christy, MD, PhD, Clinical Director of the Pediatric Neurology Program at Providence Health and Services and a game designer who has co-created multiple neurology learning games that blend clinical content with creative play, and Zachary London, MD, FANA, Professor of Neurology at the University of Michigan, who has designed and published numerous board, card, digital, and escape-room–style games to teach clinical neurology.
Attendees will leave with a practical framework for designing and implementing original educational games that can be adapted across a wide range of neurology education settings. Whether you teach, train, or innovate, you will gain fresh ideas and tools to rethink how neurology is learned.
